由来

One sheet at a time, since the second year of Taishō.

Shinsendō has stood in Yanaka since 1913 — the second year of the Taishō era. For more than one hundred and ten years the shop has been kept by a single family, and it is tended today by the fourth-generation owner.

一九一三年（大正二年）、谷中の地に暖簾を掲げて以来、百十余年。代々家族の手で守り継ぎ、いまは四代目が店に立ちます。

Every cracker is grilled by hand, one piece at a time, on the premises — exactly as it was at the founding. No preservatives, no colorants, no MSG. Only rice, fire, and a practised hand.
